Building Brands and creating channels around the customer
Richard Hurtley started his retail journey in just his second year of University. He created a brand, starting with just 4 colour ways of socks and a website.
Over several years, and with two significant rounds of investment, Rampant Sporting became a multi-channel retailer, with a small store portfolio, shows business, e-commerce platform and wholesale offering. As a result Richard dealt with retailers including department stores John Lewis and House of Fraser to e-tailers, like ASOS and Amazon.
Richard has also experienced multi category licensing and international whilst engaged as an observer on the Joules board for over 2 years.
Richard is also a board member for key industry membership organisation, UK Fashion and Textiles (UKFT) and Chairman of UKFT Rise, which is a community to support people recently joining the fashion sector.
